Secular American-style wedding at Domaine de la cheraille
As soon as I met Chanel for a drink I knew that this bride and her wedding will be one of my favourites of 2019’s season! Nose ring & discrete tattoo, long skirt, folk music lover and board game nights… wait… I just found a friend here!
Chanel is an American-Japanese stylish lady who, after travelling the world, decided to live in Paris where she met the lovely and charming Médérich. They lived together in a typical tiny Parisian apartment, the perfect way to improve your love, communication and patience.
A few years later, here we are, these two are getting married!
In this adventure I had been followed by my friend Mehdi who does beautiful wedding’s video as Kino-Filmmaker.
First they got ready at the beautiful brand new hotel Le Barn, tucked away in the Rambouillet forest, a well kept secret only 45min from Paris.
Chanel did her own hair and her friend Nathalie, who was also their celebrant, did her make-up. As she got dressed with her sisters and aunt, Médérich got dressed en tête à tête with his brother.
I organised their first look in front of the romantic little lake. As I like to do I worked as much as I can in the little time we had to play with the architecture and the nature.
Then it was time to hit the road to celebrate their secular ceremony.
They organised an American style wedding in a lovely French bucolic venue la Cheraille. They kept the ceremony simple, elegant, and quick, to spend as much time as possible with their guests coming from all around the world.
Chanel and Mederich are both gems of kindness. I’m really happy they chose me as their photographer for this unique secular wedding near Paris.
